Three Cardinals

I saw three cardinals outside today.
One stayed but two flew away.
The passing glimmer, brightly colored red,
Right before my eyes as they flew above my head.
Headed toward the feeder, perhaps for a snack,
The third one I watched jump from branch to branch.
