Sweet Love

Emily watched and learned the ways of the adults about her.  She is the first grandchild and what was given to was taken away for her siblings.

She felt abandoned, but was gracious in her giving and lonely most of her life except when she visited Gram.  Gram's apple in her eye was Emily.

They were best of friends and her Gram's grace gave her a great sense of peace and joy. 

Gram is a wonderful cook and Emily especially liked her chocolate chip cookies.

One day Gram was making a batch of her cookies that Emily loved so much.  Emily watch and Gram gave her a soft, warm, chewy chocolate chip cookie.

Emily, surprised how yummy the cookie was, looked around.

Where did it come from she said?

Gram calmly said ”from this bowl.”

Emily stood on her chair to peek in the bowl.  "In here she said?

This is where the cookie came from!?! 

Gram gave her the spoon and said, "Stir with this spoon."

Emily stood over the big bowl with the big stirring spoon in her hand.  Gram cherished the sight and took a picture.

It is sweet love.
