Shelly was born in Atlanta Georgia.  She attended West Georgia College.   She now resides near Chicago with her husband David and two sons--Keith and Mitchell.  She enjoys writing for children as well as for moms.  Her new book, The Wondrous Ways of Women, will be released March 22,  2001, by Southern Charm Press. Shelly has several children's stories featured with bedtime.com under the  Animal and Sports sections.  She has written a series about a very special cat named Mitty. Mitty's New Friend, Mitty's Surprise, and Mitty Has to Wait.  She has also written a story called The Magical Ball.  A boy who lives  for baseball saves his hard-earned money for a Sammy Sosa baseball card. This story has a little magic and a lot of nostalgia.

Shelly's current project is A SPORTING INFATUATION, yes, a romance  novel. Shouldn't each day bring joy, happiness, wonder and romance? Shelly believes in bringing these fantasies to life!
