Sandy D. Forbes

My name is Sandy D. Forbes. Born in the beautiful island of Freeport, Grand Bahama, I often imagine myself writing amidst the hot sand, cool waters and breezy palm trees. In these surroundings, writing inspiration becomes second nature. At the age of about six, I relocated with my parents to the sunshine state of Florida, then met and married my husband, Daniel Capers, and since then have been blessed with two children. My job titles have consisted of many, from Administrative Assistant to Pharmacy Technician and beneath it all, I've always been branded in my heart as a writer.

Reading books and writing stories plays an intricate part in my life. Never satisfied, I enjoy learning about new topics as I research for my books, many times juggling working on numerous projects at the same time. My most recent
young adult novel was published in December of 2002, entitled, "Sinking Sam",

Being a writer is God's blessing to me. What I do with it is my gift to God. Ultimately, my writing must convey a message that benefits someone in some way. I like to think of it as adding the missing piece to someone's puzzle or simply bringing a smile to a child's face.

Writing for bedtime.com offers a great opportunity for me to share my writing joy with children all over the world. I utterly enjoy making their world shine a little bit brighter through this wonderful exercise that we call "reading".
