Deb Hockenberry

Altoona, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Deb Hockenberry was born in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania. She is the oldest of six
children. When Deb was twelve years old, her
family moved to Altoona, Pennsylvania. She has
always wanted to write for children. Since she
has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Deb
has more time to devote to writing for children.

She attended Altoona Area High School and went on
to work at several different jobs until the
Multiple Sclerosis forced her out of the
workplace. Deb took the Basic Course for writing
for children from The Institute of Children's
Literature. Deb followed this up with a second
course from the same Institute

Deb has had an article published in COMMON VISION
in November 2001. COMMON VISION is a Multiple
Sclerosis newsletter. She has also had a
childrens non-fiction story published in the July
2002 issue of Writers Hood.com
http://www.writershood.com.

Deb currently lives in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
She shares an apartment with her cat, Sasha.
